#1: Euchre night - Our missionary friend Laura invited us over for cards along with a retired American couple (who hosted Thanksgiving Day gathering). Laura's 10 year old son, Gabriel, learned to play and Nathan and Angelina just learned a few weeks ago so we had two tables going. Sophia hung out with Laura's 16 year old daughter. We had a lot of fun and hope to do it again next week at our house.
#2: Classes at Seeds of Hope - I no longer teach a 1:30 English class on Tuesday because too many girls had conflicts with school so instead I started teaching a Spanish TPRS class this week to the staff/volunteers before I teach the older girls at 2:30. It was so much fun! I've never taught an adult Spanish class before but they're such eager learners and love the TPRS method so it's a blast to do this with them. I didn't miss the bus coming back from Seeds of Hope this week so that was another praise!
#3: Classes at El Puente - George and I feel like we're 'in the groove' with our classes at school and find it especially rewarding when we try something new with the kids. This week George created a new PE relay game activity that involved a mounted hula hoop seven feet off the ground in which kids had to throw pool noodles through. During English class with my second graders, I had them do something they had never done on a computer before which they found fascinating and it was fun to see how excited and engaged they were over something that seems pretty normal and basic to us.
#4: Orlando lodging - our friends David and Ha who visited us recently has helped us get a great deal on a condo in Orlando next month. Lord willing, we fly there June 25 and will stay there a few days before driving back home to Michigan.
#5: Catamaran Tour - Today was Labor Day here so we had the day off from school. Due to a very unexpected and generous offer (60% off the regular price), we were able to go on a four hour catamaran tour this morning. We invited Laura and her two kids and Laly, a teacher at El Puente, to join us. Lunch was included and then we all went out for cheesecake afterwards - what a wonderful way to spend our last holiday here!

Prayer Requests:
1. Ashley, one of El Puente's teachers, will be gone to Nicaragua the rest of the week to renew her visa and I will be subbing for her. Please pray for safe travels for her and extra patience for me as part of my sub coverage will include her preschoolers :).
2. Please pray that God would supply us with a vehicle in Orlando that we can drive back to Michigan next month. We think we'll buy one there since we sold our car right before we left last year. Please pray that God will supply us with the perfect vehicle that fits our budget, can get us back with all our stuff, and also be a good vehicle for us for the next few years.
