Monday: Rainy season has returned which means most days there's a good hard rain shower. Nathan and Angelina were playing soccer at the community field when it started and didn't let it stop them from playing. They came home drenched but happy.
Thursday: Having kids from two cultures at El Puente means there's often a lot of comparing going on regarding what classmates have along to eat. Our kids have often commented about the 'yummy' or 'better' snacks/lunches that they're Costa Rican classmates have. The Costa Rican students have also commented and asked a lot of questions about food that our family brings...the most 'talked about' ones seem to be homemade breads like banana or zucchini (homemade baked goods are not very common here) and lasagna. Sisters Alisson and Vielka have asked numerous times how to make the breads so on Thursday after school we invited them over so they could have a lesson in how to make both kinds of bread.
Friday: We gathered at our friend Laura's house with another couple and enjoyed access to a grill for dinner. The adults spent the evening playing Euchre and the kids played Monopoly.
